Blood Donation

The club donated 2 bottles of O type blood at 14th January. The 56-years-old male patient has been suffering from Gastrointestinal disease. He is from Waw town, Bago Division. He was staying at Yan Aung, Thin Gan Kyoon, and had been hospitalizing at Thin Gan Kyoon San Pya hospital.

The patient guardian called and requested to the club to donate 2 bottles of O type blood at around 2:00 pm. Therefore, the club tried to find two blood donors. Upon the appearance of two blood donors, an organizer from the club led them to the Thin Gan Kyoon San Pya hospital at 3:00 pm. The two blood donors were treated at a teashop in front of the hospital because the patient and guardian have not arrived yet. All went off to the hospital when they came at 3:45 pm. The blood pressure and hemoglobin of the two blood donors were checked, and the blood donation started at 4:30 pm in the evening. After the donation, the blood donors were treated with cold drinks. They were sent off to their homes and back to the club at 6:00 pm.

Blood Donation

At 10th January of 2008, the club donated total of 4 blood bottles which are 2 of AB group and 2 of B group. The patient who needed the 2 bottles of blood type AB was a 17-years-old lady. She lives in Pha Sa Pa La compound of Mingalar Taung Nyaunt Township. The health problem is leukemia. She has been hospitalizing for over one year at Yangon General Hospital. She was transfused for over 100 bottles of blood.

The patients asked the club for help at 8:00 pm of 9 January. The club contacted and informed the AB type blood donors to sleep early because the lack of sleep could affect their blood pressure. At 10 January 10:00 AM in the morning, the blood donors were asked to come to a tea shop. We went to the hospital as soon as all arrived. The patient's uncle welcomed us when we reached to the national blood center. The blood pressures and types of blood donors were checked, and found out that one out of three was the blood type B. Therefore, the two donors donated at the blood bank. After donation, the donors cheered up the patient. After that, the patient treated the donors.

During blood donation arrangement, the organizer of the club were asked whether we could help to donate the blood type B for a 13-years-old girl. The problem of the patient was having less red blood cells than the white blood cells. Therefore, the red blood cells of blood type B are required to transfuse. The patient lives in Mayang Gone Street 1 of Ton Tay. Since the blood type of one of the blood donors was Type B, it was ready and good for the patient. The require amount of hemoglobin was also enough. One bottle of B type blood was donated at the national blood bank. The donation was finished at half past ten in the morning.

While saying some parting words to the AB blood patient,beside him there was a patient who was suffering from leukemia. The guardian of that patient asked the help to donate one bottle of B type blood. The patient who lives in Thu Wunna. He is a 41-years-old man. So, there was a need to search for a blood donor. The hospital contacted the club and asked to find the blood donor. They asked the club to contact to hand phone of the patient guardian and wait at the blood bank when the donor was ready. It was 1:30 pm when the donor reached to the hospital. He was asked to rest for a while. After that, check the blood pressure and hemoglobin. The donation began at 2:30 pm and finished at 3:00 pm. The club sent off the donor after the blood donation.

Blood Donation

The club donated one bottle of blood type A at Karen New Year Day. The patient was being hospitalized at Yangon General Hospital. One of her kidneys was spoiled and needed blood transfusion for renal transplant for chronic renal failure. She lived in Myay Ni Gone, San Chaung Township and is 47-years-old.

On that day, we indeed went to donate AB blood. The amount of hemoglobin in the blood of donor was not enough to donate the blood. At that time the husband of the guardian of the patient who needed A type blood found the club and requested to get help and donate blood. Therefore, the club tried to find the blood donors. Since it was the public holiday, there were fewer blood donors. At that time, there were four monks who came to donate blood to a patient. One of them was not having blood type B but A. Hence, we proposed the monk to donate blood. He agreed that because his main purpose was to donate blood. After that, we arranged for the patient's guardian to meet with the monk and brought the required documents. Later on, continue with the testing of the blood and hemoglobin. When the blood was being tested in the laboratory, the guardian of the patient donated the soft drink to the monk. Donation started at around 2:00 pm and ended at 3:00 pm. We hired a cab to sent him back to Nat Mout Street, Tamwe Township, the Su Htoo Pan Pa Yi Yat Hti Shwe Kyin monastery where he resided. Finally, the club has supported for the donation of a blood bottle on Karen New Year Day.

Blood Donation

Our club has donated two bottles of B type blood on 7th of January 2008. The patient has been hospitalized at Thin Gan Kyoon (San Pya) Hospital. He is 45-years-old. He lives in Myeik, Ta Nin Ther Yi Division. He is suffering from TB (Tuberculosis).

The guardian of the patient contacted to the club to donate B type blood since January 5th. It was arranged to donated on Monday, today. The club searched for a donor. We have proposed to the monks from the monastery around since there was only one blood donor. Hence, a monk followed and donated the blood. We went to the San Pya Hospital with the two donors at noon. The donors were checked for the blood pressure and hemoglobin after resting for a while. Blood donation started at 12:30 pm. The club offered some cold drinks to the monk donor and the another donor after the donation. The pamphlets of the Raven Blood Donor club were distributed at the San Pya Hospital so that they could contact to the club if there was a need for donating blood. At 2:30 pm, the club sent off the donors and back to home at 3:00 pm in the evening.

Blood Donation

Our club donated a bottle of O blood on January 6. The patient was a 72-years-old woman. She need the blood because of the leakage of blood capillary from the brain. She lives in Htee Tan, Kyi Myin Dine Township.

On January 6th 8:00 am in the morning, a teacher from B.E.H.S 6 Ahlone contacted the club and requested to donate the blood for her mother. The club searched an O type blood donor. Around 11:00 pm, we arrived to the Yangon Hospital. Later, we met the patient guardian and took the required document to proceed at National blood department. There were few staffs since it was Saturday. As a result of it, there were more of blood donors waiting for blood test. The donor was tested for the blood type, hemoglobin on his turn. The blood sample was sent to the laboratory to check for the disease. The patient guardian treated the donor with lunch while waiting for the result. The result from the lab was out at 2:00 pm. We waited until our turn to donate blood. It was finished at 3:00 pm. We sent the donor back to his home and reached back to the club at 4:00 pm in the evening.

Blood Donation

Our blood donor club again donated a bottle of AB blood on Myanmar's Independence day, January 4th. The patient was from Asia Royal Hospital. He was from Aung Pan, Shan State, and 50 years old. He needed blood transfusion after his operation for the heart. A total of 13 blood bottles was transfused before.

Yesterday around 8:30 p.m., the patient guardian from the special ward called the club to help in donation of an AB blood bottle. It was the second time because they have informed a week before. Since the club had a donor instant, we prepared for the registration. After that, we left to Asia Royal around 9:00 p.m. for the blood test.

Upon arrival to the hospital, a doctor check the blood pressure and then we proceeded at blood laboratory. We had to wait for a while because a monk was tested for the blood. They stored the blood to test. We sent the donor back to home at about 11:00 p.m. because the result would only be out the next day.

After the blood result was out on 9:00 a.m. in the morning, they called to come and donate blood afternoon. We brought the donor to the hospital and waited for the transfusion. The donation was started at 12:00 pm and ended at 1:00 pm. We sent back the donor after all.

Blood Donation

The blood donor club donated a bottle of blood type A at January 3rd of 2008. The patient lives in Gandamar Street, Sanchaung Township. She is 48-years-old woman. She had been treated at South Okkalapa Women and children Hospital (Catholic Hospital) in order to cure a uterus disease.

Since January 2nd 8:00 a.m., the hospital indicated the patient guardian to the club, and they contacted us for the donation of blood.

They requested us to come at January 3rd because the patient was arranged for the operation on that day. Therefore, we brought the donor to the hospital on 3rd January, 8:00 a.m. After the medical check up, the donation began at 9:38 a.m. The club sent off the donor after the donation
